Ideal for measuring refractive index in automotive solutions including anti-freeze and battery acid. The measurement can be displayed as Propylene glycol 32 to -50°F, Ethylene glycol 32 to -50°F, Battery acid 1.000-1.500 sg or Cleaner 14-40.

Small, light weight and as simple to use as a basic optical refractometer, but with the accuracy of a digital readout. Sample size can be as small as 1mL. The temperature is initially displayed followed by the measurement results.

The sophisticated microprocessor provides automatic calibration, automatic temperature compensation and automatic shutoff (after 3 minutes). A sturdy soft-sided water resistant case protects the electronics from wet environments and makes for easy clean ups. Features one button calibration to distilled water and indicates when the battery should be replaced (8000 readings).
